Ethos & Aims

Ethos & Aims of Lindley Junior School

We aim to educate the ‘whole child’.

We offer a school community that encourages the development of tolerance, respect and understanding within a happy, hard - working environment.  We want our pupils to develop lively, enquiring minds; be prepared for the challenges, of life and reach the highest standards of personal achievement.

We promote a positive growth mindset in order to develop our pupils’ self-esteem, confidence, resilience and achievement.  We offer a curriculum which is broad and balanced and allows pupils to experience a wide variety of sporting, musical and creative activities in order to develop their skills, interests, ambitions and potential within and beyond the classroom.    We ensure that our pupils are provided with the best opportunities for personal development and challenging goals to foster a ‘love of learning.’

We believe our curriculum encourages achievement and develops caring and positive attitudes, furthering pupils’ tolerance, respect and understanding of themselves, others and the world in which they live.  All our pupils achieve to the best of their abilities and are prepared for the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.  We strive for excellence.
